The Stateline Diner

stateline collageIt breaks my heart when a trip to a diner stateline jackdisappoints. We called the Robinsons and asked them if they wanted to have brunch. We were so excited. It would be Jack's first time eating at a diner with his godparents and their daughter Carly.

The best part of the meal was when Deena described her recent episode of morning sickness. While her head was in the toilet Jack wandered in and stuck his head in, too. As sick as she was she was laughing at Jack's big inquisitive smile. Then Winston wandered in and started sniffing around, and Deena couldn't shoo him away. Then she laughed so hard she had an accident. As you can see from the photos we were all in stitches.

While the company and conversation was as great as always, the diner left much to be desired. Each of us found our food bland and poorly prepared. The kids had fun, but the waitress appeared unhappy about serving a table with two babies. Most egregious, the black and white cookie that we took to go was stale and tasteless. It was, quite simply, the worst half-moon we've ever tasted, and we will never return to this diner.

Stateline Diner...you broke our hearts.
